Mr. and Mrs. P had an old softener that was not working. They wanted to buy new appliances but wanted to ensure that they were protected from the 23 GPG of hardness that they had in the water. After a meeting with the Project Coordinator, they decided to get a new Water Softener installed and purchase the Maintenance plan with it so that we could help them protect/maintain it for them and deliver out their salt.

We had a customer reach out to use because she just moved into a brand new home and was noticing a lot of hard water build up on all the new appliances and fixtures. Mrs. R. did not want them to be ruined by the hard water. We sent out one of our project coordinators out to test the water and get a look at what we had going on. After testing and finding extremely hard water we recommend the EVR water softener. After a clean installation Mrs. R. does not need to worry about the water destroying things in the home.

Mr. and Mrs. P. are current customers, and when the tech went to service their current softener, he had found their current softener to be clogged up with Iron and they had mentioned that their laundry was turning orange due to the iron content in the water. When the project Coordinator came to test the water, it was found that there was 5ppm of Iron in the water. They purchased and EVFE-1054 Iron filter, which was put in front of the current softener. By doing this, it will ensure that the softener will not get clogged with Iron, and there laundry should remain nice and white from now on.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, about 66% of Wisconsin residents get their drinking water from groundwater, and the other 33% source it from Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, or Lake Winnebago. Owners of private wells are responsible for monitoring their private wells to ensure they are safe to drink from. Nitrates and arsenic, for example, are common, naturally occurring contaminants in Wisconsin soil and are often found in private well water.
Proper water filtration is essential in maintaining a safe source of drinking water. Even water that is not for consumption (animal or human) should be free of harmful contaminants that can affect our lives in other ways. Water for showering, washing your clothes, nourishing your pets, and even watering your plants should be of a healthy quality. Water can be considered “dirty” due to chemical pollutants and the presence of disease-causing microbes.
There are a number of short-term and long-term risks associated with drinking contaminated water. Exposure to chemicals in water can result in skin discoloration or, eventually, damage to the nervous system or organs. Ingesting water with disease-causing microbes is relatively rare in the United States nowadays because of advanced water filtration practices, but that used to be a common spreader of infectious diseases including typhoid fever and cholera. There are parts of the world where these diseases still run rampant because of inadequate or tainted drinking water supplies.

Mr. L called to see if we could come to take care of the annual maintenance on his rental water softener and change the filters on his reverse osmosis system. John, our service technician, was able to get out to the home and service the equipment. He made sure everything was working properly before leaving the home.
This customer called the Clean Water Center, as they were about to sell the house, and were finding white residue around the faucets. A Project Coordinator went out to the house to assess the situation.
After looking over everything, the customer decided to have us install the ES-1044 water softener, and we were able to get it installed before the open house that same week.
The homeowner called the Clean Water Center as he has lived in his house for a few years and is not happy with his current Iron filter. He did not like how often it backwashed, and was pretty loud. A Project Coordinator went to the house to assess the water and the current equipment. They found that the current equipment is not very old and is working as it should. The Project Coordinator tested the water from the pressure tank, and reassured the customer that the equipment that is installed in his house is the right equipment for his water conditions, and that the previous homeowner made the right choice on what equipment was needed for quality water. After talking about the options that the Clean Water Center has, the Project Coordinator and the customer decided that the current equipment was sufficient for his home and he did not need new equipment.
The Project Coordinator went over tips and solutions to make his iron filter a little quieter and informed the customer that we have service plans that can help him with maintenance on his equipment even though we did not install it. Customer was happy to hear that his home has quality water and was thankful for the solutions and education on his water conditions and equipment.
Customer called The Clean Water Center as the current equipment in the house is over 20 years old, and wanted to see if it is working. A Project Coordinator went to the house and tested the water. They have an iron filter and a water softener installed. They went over equipment that is recommended to keep the water quality as they would like for their house. . The Project Coordinator educated them as to the conditions of their water and the equipment necessary to offer them quality water for their household. They decided to hold off on purchasing any new equipment at this time, as the water softener and iron filter were still currently working. The Project Coordinator explained that even though we did not install their current equipment, we would be happy to help them with the maintenance on it, so that they continue to have the quality water that they deserve.
Mr and Mrs L were ready for their yearly filter change on their Eclipse reverse osmosis system. We sent our technician Sam out to the home to complete this filter change. While he was there, he tested the water to be sure all treatment equipment was working and changed the 3 yearly filters. The homeowner were happy to have fantastic tasting water!
This customer has lived in the house for a few months and does not like the taste of the water. They did not want to buy bottled water, and were looking for a different solution, so they called the Clean Water Center to talk about Reverse Osmosis systems.
A Project Coordinator went to the home to assess the basement and be sure that the current water softener was working so they could get the optimal experience from a Reverse Osmosis. After finding the softener was working, and they would be able to install in the basement to go to the fridge. The kitchen sink is solid stone, so we were not able to install to the kitchen sink without someone else coming to cut a hole in it. The customer decided to have us install a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis to the fridge, and we set up the kitchen sink to be installed once he had someone come cut a hole for the RO faucet.
The customer is happy with their drinking water now.
This customer called the Clean Water Center with an issue of not liking the taste of the water and thought it had a salty taste. First he had a Service Tech come out to the home to take a look at his current softener. The Service Tech rebuilt the control head and set everything to the appropriate setting, but the customer still did not like the taste of his water. He called back in to talk about Reverse Osmosis.
A Project Coordinator went out to his home to assess the water, and the placement for a Reverse Osmosis system. After a conversation with the homeowner, they assessed that the softener was older, but currently working, and a Reverse Osmosis drinking system would be the best bet for him. The Project Coordinator went over new softeners with him at that time and explained the benefits of the new systems as well as getting on the maintenance plan so that we could help him protect his new equipment including the RO system, as well as give him the Lifetime Warranty on them. The customer initially decided to just put in the Reverse Osmosis system, but later changed his mind and decided to start new and go on the maintenance plan.
The homeowner can now enjoy his new water system, especially knowing that we will be his partner in keeping it in good condition.
This customer called the Clean Water Center as they had just purchased the home and were only living there for a short time. They were finding iron staining in the home. A Project Coordinator went to their home to discuss options, test the water, and assess the basement for placement of the equipment.
When the Project Coordinator went out to the home, they found that the basement did not have any drain to drain the softener too. They had to think outside of the box and come up with a solution for the homeowner. After looking around the basement, they found that they would be able to pull the drain upstairs to the Laundry Room, where the clothes washer drained to.
We installed a rental EVRS-1044 water softener for them, and they have noticed a great difference in their water now. No more staining and softer, more manageable hair.
The customer had called in as he had just built a house on the lake and needed equipment to take care of his water problems. They were finding a lot of orange staining around the home and the smell of sulfur wafted from the water. They were concerned because they new they needed extra equipment to take care of it, but the home was on a holding tank septic system, and if extra equipment was installed, they would need to get it pumped more often.
We were able to send out a Project Coordinator and a service tech to assess the situation. The water test showed they did have sulfur, and 4 ppm of iron, so an Iron Filter was definitely needed to help the water issues the customer was having.
After a bit of figuring things out, they were able to come up with a solution that would work for the homeowner and limit the amount of water going through the equipment at regen so that there wouldn't be as much going to the septic. They could also alternate the Iron Filter regen to go directly outside during the warmer months, totally eliminating the water from the Iron Filter backwash at that time of the year, and only having the water softener draining to the septic.
We installed the equipment, and the customer can rest easy with clean water for his new home.
The customer had the Clean Water Center out for service on her water treatment equipment. After talking with the technician about some health issues that required the customer to drink more water, and that she was buying way too much bottled water, the technician recommended putting in a Reverse Osmosis Drinking system.
The customer was interested in learning more, so the technician set up an appointment with a Project Coordinator. A Project Coordinator went to the customers home the next day, so that they could talk about the system, and the benefits of having bottle quality water right to her kitchen sink. After discussing the process, the customer decided to have us install a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system. Now the customer doesn't have to worry about hauling heavy cases of water in from the store, and can be confident in the water she is consuming.
This customer was moving to WI from the East Coast, and decided to buy a home and renovate it. The old owners of the home had us install a water softener, and Iron filter for them, so the new homeowner decided to give us a call to install a Reverse Osmosis drinking system for them. They had one at their old home, and really enjoyed having bottle quality water right to their fridge, and kitchen sink.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home to discuss options with them, and they decided to have us install a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system for them. They also decided to include a service plan for all of their equipment, so that we can go out every year to perform recommended service and change out their drinking filters at the same time. Now the only thing they have to worry about is putting salt in the Water softener, and we will do the rest for them.
This customer had been living in the home for a bit and was finding hard water issues throughout the home, as well as itchy skin. The home was only build a few years ago, but the old homeowners had never installed any water treatment. He called the Clean Water Center to see what we had available for his issues.
A Project Coordinator went to the home and assessed the basement and tested the water. They found that the home was plumbed with a manifold for most of the cold water lines including one of the outside lines. The back outside line was across the basement for the backyard. They decided to have us install an EVRC-1054 resin/carbon water softener to help with the chlorine from the city and their itchy skin. They also decided to have the front outside line converted to an unsoftened line and leave the back line soft, as it would be used for the hot tub anyway.
The customer now has clean, soft water for the home and is no longer finding anymore hard water issues in the home.
This customer called the Clean Water Center as they had just moved in and did not like the taste of the water. The family was growing and they were worried about the quality water that they were giving their children.
They were all set up with a water softener and iron filter already, the next thing to do was to get a Reverse Osmosis. A Project Coordinator was sent to the home for a consultation and to make sure the current equipment was working properly. After finding that all the equipment was working as it should, and finding placement for the new equipment, the customers decided to go with a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system. The water in their current fridge was not working and they were planning on getting a new fridge shortly, so the team at the Clean Water Center set up the ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis so it could be installed straight to the new fridge when it got it installed.
The customers can rest easy now, knowing they are consuming clean, safe water.
Customer called into the Clean Water Center as he was curious about Reverse Osmosis Drinking Systems. Stated that someone in the family had a condition and needed to watch their Calcium intake.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home to make sure the water softener was working well and assess the basement to where the unit could be installed. At that time they found that most of the home was softened, but not the kitchen cold water line, as well as the refrigerator. The Project Coordinator suggested a Clearflo Reverse Osmosis and to soften the kitchen cold line so that they would not find any hard water stains on their new kitchen fixtures.
We were able to install the new system in a few days after they decided and the customer can know that they are drinking the cleanest water possible.
Customer called the Clean Water Center as he has been finding a lot of staining lately in his home. A Project Coordinator went out to the home to assess the situation. The found that the customer had an EV2 water conditioner installed back in 2011. The conditioner was softening the water but found a decent amount of iron was getting past it causing the staining. She talked to the customer about putting in an iron filter and possibly a new water softener to save on salt.
The also had the issue of space for the iron filter. The pressure switch on the pressure tank was hanging out too far, taking up a bit of space. The customer decided to have us install the iron filter and keep his current equipment to soften the water. We installed the Iron Filter an were able to move the pressure switch out of the way to give more room for the new piece of equipment.
The customer is happy as we were able to fix the iron staining issue and save him some money by keeping his old softener.
Customer had moved in to a newly built home with city water in Oconomowoc. He started noticing hard water spots and build up around the kitchen and bath. He needed to help protect his new investment and make sure that the hard water would not continue building up across the home. He called the Clean Water Center to see if we could help.
A Project Coordinator went out to his home to assess the placement of equipment and test his water. After speaking with the customer he let her know that he called the Clean Water Center because he noticed on the website that we do make a cabinet model as he did not want a big piece of equipment taking up space in his basement. He decided to special order (at no extra charge) the cabinet model for us to install. Once the equipment was built for him, we installed shortly after, and the customer can now be confident that the water will not ruin any part of his new home.
The customer just moved back to the area from the south and bought a home in Oconomowoc without any water treatment equipment. He wanted to make sure he had soft water as soon as possible as well as clean drinking water for him and his family. He contacted the Clean Water Center to come assess the new home.
The basement was mostly finished except for 2 separate utility areas. The city meter was far from the other utility room and did not have a drain near it. Because the basement was furnished there was no way to tell where the plumbing went in between the city water meter and the area available for install. A Project Coordinator and a technician went back to the home to look around as to what could be done to get the equipment in the home and be able to soften the entire home. After a bit of looking around, they were able to come up with a plan. The customer decided to rent an EVRC-1054 resin/carbon water softener to help with the hardness as well as the chlorine that the city puts in the water. They also decided to rent a Clearflo Reverse Osmosis drinking system.
The customer moved in shortly after that and can now rest easy, knowing their water is clean and soft.
The customers just purchase a home and completely renovated it, right down to brand new plumbing throughout the whole home. They found the Clean Water Center on Google and called us based on our reviews. A Project Coordinator went out to the home to test the water and assess the basement for installation. The home was plumbed perfectly, all set up for the installation of a water softener, and the outside lines were already bypassed for the customer. The only thing that had to get done before install was an electrical outlet for the water softener.
The customer was on city water. The Project Coordinator went over water softener options with the customer. The customer opted to have us install the EVRS-1044 water softener, and as soon as they had the electrical outlet in and the water was turned on to the whole house, we were able to install. They were able to move in shortly after, and know that their home is protected from the hardness of the city water.
We just installed a water softener at the customer's duplex, and when the Project Coordinator was out, they had talked about the importance of having the well water tested once a year. The customer decided to have us take a Basic Annual health and safety test (Arsenic, Nitrates, E-Coli, and Coliform) of the well water. When the tests came back, it revealed Nitrates in the water above the EPA standard. The customer was thinking that they may sell the home soon, and new that they had to do something about the Nitrates.
They called the Project Coordinator back and decided to have us put in an Ultro Water Reverse Osmosis as it is Certified by the state of Wisconsin for Nitrates. We installed one in both sides of the duplex, so that both sides of the home could be confident in the water they were drinking and cooking with.
The customer called the Clean Water Center as he had equipment in his home already but noticed that the water was hard and was finding iron stains in the home that he never had before. A service tech went out to his home to see what might be going on. The unit that he had in his home was meant to help take care of hardness and iron, but has been dealing with 4 ppm of iron for over 10 years. The technician found that the injector was clogged and the unit was not regenerating properly. He also mentioned that the media inside the softener was starting to get exhausted and the customer would benefit from a new water softener and iron filter combo. The set up an appointment for a consultation with a project coordinator to go over options.
A Project Coordinator went out to the customer's home to assess the situation. They found that the current softener was softening the water but could no longer take care of the iron. The project coordinator went over new softeners and iron filters with the customer. His current softener uses 15 pounds of salt at regeneration and if he went with a new softener/iron filter combo, he could save a lot on salt used. The Project Coordinator noted that he could continue to use his current softener and just add the iron filter.
The customer decided to keep his current softener and add the iron filter to take care of the staining. He opted to go on a service plan for all of his equipment, so that we can come out once a year for maintenance and filter changes on his reverse osmosis.
Customer called the Clean Water Center as his water softener was not working and he had to unplug it. A Project Coordinator went out to the home to talk with the customer and assess the water and basement for the installation. Customer was on hard water and the biggest water concern was hardness in the water. It was a larger house with 1" plumbing throughout the home and multiple full bathrooms.
After talking with the customer with the customer, they discussed that even though there were only 2 people in the home and that a smaller softener would be efficient for the 2 of them, they were planning on moving soon, and would like to have a larger enough softener set up for a family of 4-5.
The customer decided to have us install an ES-1054 water softener that we were able to install for them 2 days later.
Customer called the Clean Water Center as he was finding a bit of staining in the bathrooms, and they both had a bad sulfur smell as well. His neighbor had referred him to us as we had just installed equipment at their home.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home and found that they had a softener as well as an iron curtain that was installed about 10 years ago. After talking for a bit, the customer mentioned that he had never had service done on the equipment. The Project Coordinator spoke to him about going on a service plan so that we could do maintenance for him yearly. The customer decided to go on the service plan and have a tech come out to look over the equipment and see if the iron curtain just needed some maintenance before he bought a new one. They proceeded to go over new equipment just in case the unit could not be serviced.
The tech went out to the home, and found the softener just needed general maintenance but the Iron Curtain would need all new internals on the control head, and suggested going with a new iron filter. Since the Project Coordinator had already discussed new equipment with the homeowner, he already knew what to expect if the iron curtain could not be saved. We installed an EVFE-1054 iron filter for the customer a few days later. He continued to add the new iron filter to the service plan so that we can come out once a year to make sure his water is always clean and so they can prevent the awful sulfur smell again.
This customer enjoys water treated by several pieces of our equipment. They rent an EVRC-1054 softening unit and an EVFE-1248 iron filter, and own a ClearFlo reverse osmosis system.
This year it was time for them to change out the filters on the RO system again and we sent Sam out to do the work. He was able to not only change the filters, but also look over the rental equipment to make sure everything was in good working order by swapping out some essential parts which had experienced general wear and tear. When Sam left, all the equipment was in great working order again and ready to keep providing our customer with great quality water!
Customer called the Clean Water Center as he had purchase vacation home on an island in the middle of a lake near Oconomowoc about 10 years ago did not have any water treatment equipment and they were going to be spending a lot more time there soon, so they wanted to make sure the water was soft for the laundry and showers, and the wife was sick of cleaning the iron stains from the toilets when they came to visit.
A project coordinator met him at the boat doc, and after a quick trip across the lake, they were able to assess the water going into the home. The customer mentioned that the neighbors had a water softener and an iron filter for their home. They found that the water had 25 gpg of hardness, 3.5 ppm of iron, and a trace smell of sulfur. There was also only a stand up crawl space area for the equipment. So after the testing, the project coordinator discussed the recommended treatment for the water conditions, and the customer decided to have us install an EVR-1044 water softener and an EVFE-1054 Iron Filter. He opted to go on the maintenance plan, so that we could come out once a year and help him take care of his new equipment. He was also happy that we would deliver the needed salt for the year at that time, only catch is that he had to deliver us from the boat launch to the home to bring it up to the island house for him.
This customer called us after not having had service on their water treatment equipment for several years.
They have a softener, an iron filter and an RO system.
We were able to get our technician John out the very same day to look at all the equipment and ensure everything was running well and efficiently.
John tested the water and changed some essential parts to get everything back up and working to its maximum potential. The customer was pleased with our quick turn around and now will have clean soft water again!
Customer just moved into a newly built home in Oconomowoc, and is quickly finding hard water build up in the home. He wanted to make sure that all of his new water using appliances, faucets and fixtures stay clean without hard water build up. A Project Coordinator went out to the customer's home to test the water, and assess where the installation would go. They discussed the benefits of the water softener, and the differences in the technology on each piece of equipment.
After much discussion the customer decided to have us install an EVRS-1044 water softener, and we were able to install it a few days later for him. He can now be confident that his new appliances, faucets and fixtures will be protected from the city water.
Customer called the Clean Water Center as he has high iron and sulfur in his water. He previously had equipment but had to be taken out, and is now wanting new equipment installed. He actually has 2 homes on the property. One of the homes had equipment still in it, but the tenant did not take care of it and it was not working. The home's bathrooms and kitchen were covered in iron staining.
A Project Coordinator went out to the property and tested the water at the home. They found that the hardness was around 27 gpg, the iron was coming in at 5 ppm and their was a good sulfur smell from the pressure tank. The Project Coordinator recommended a water softener as well as an iron filter to help with the high iron and sulfur in the water. The customer decided to rent the equipment from the Clean Water Center.
The homeowner needed the equipment installed as soon as we could as he was renting the home out and the new tenants were supposed to move in within the week. We were able to get him on the schedule and installed the next day.
Customer found the Clean Water Center at the Farmers Market one Saturday morning. They used to have a Reverse Osmosis drinking system at their old house, and wanted to get one installed in their new home, as they were not happy with the taste of the Oconomowoc city water. They went home that morning and discussed it, and called a few days later to have the Project Coordinator that they met at the market to come out and discuss options with them.
Connie went out to their home, tested to make sure that their water softener was working, and assessed a placement for the reverse osmosis to go. The customer was concerned about taking all of the minerals out of the water, but were happy to hear that we could add in a calcite filter to be able to put some back in the drinking water.
We were able to install a few days later for them. The customer is happy to have clean, safe drinking water again.
Customer just purchased a home on the lake in Oconomowoc. He noticed that the water softener wasn't working and called to have service done on it. A tech went out to his home to look over the system, and found that it was leaking from the piston. Advised that due to the age of the system, it would cost almost as much as a brand new softener to rebuild what was broken.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home, to discuss new purchase options for him. She tested the water to and assessed the basement for the placement of the new equipment. After testing the water, they also found 3ppm and sulfur present. There was no extra equipment in place to take care of that. They discussed putting in an Iron Filter to take care of that as well as a Reverse Osmosis drinking system, for when they are all at the lake house, and then they wouldn't have to haul in cases of water for drinking. The customer let her know that he was already working with his plumber to get those pieces installed but would like to go with our Water Softener. He decided to have us install an ES-1044 water softener for him a few days later.
The customer called the Clean Water Center as she was just at a friends house that had a Reverse Osmosis installed at their home, and she was inquiring about getting installed in her home as well. She stated that she never really drank the city water as she didn't really like it, and would buy bottled water.
A Project Coordinator went out to her home to assess where the unit could be installed. She tested the water to see if the water softener was working well for the customer so that the reverse osmosis filters would last as long as they should. Customer decided to have us install the ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis with a Brushed Nickel contemporary faucet. We were able to send a technician out to the home a few days later to install it in the basement near her water softener to both her kitchen sink, as well as the refrigerator.
Customer is so much happier with her drinking water and now wants to get it installed to her vacation home, as she doesn't like drinking any other water now.
Customer had moved into the home years ago. There was a water softener in place when they moved in, but did not plug it in, so it was not on for the entire time they lived there. They started finding hard water issues throughout their house, like crusty hard water deposits on the faucets and hard water issues on their coffee pots and dishes. They decided to call Clean Water Center for a quote on a new softener since they thought it would be smart to buy new, instead of fixing up their old one.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home to test the water and assess the basement for placement of new equipment. She found the water to be hard, but no iron or sulfur issues were present. They found that the kitchen sink was not on a softened line though. They went over the proper solutions for the customer, and let her know that they could change that line for the kitchen cold to a softened line, which would really help with the customers concern of hard water deposits at the kitchen faucet as well as for the coffee pot.
We installed a new softener for the customer a week later.
Customer had someone test their water and found very hard water and high iron in the water as well at 3ppm. The customer's softener was only 2.5 years old, and did not seem to be working. He mentioned that he had replaced the softener about every 5 years since the moved in. The place that had tested the water had referred him to the Clean Water Center.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home and tested the water as well and found the same results as well. 32 gpg of hardness along with 3ppm of iron. The tested and found that the softener was working that day, but after testing the hot water and it coming up with 17 gpg of hardness and 2.5 ppm of iron, they could tell that the softener was not working at one point. The customer and Project Coordinator discussed that a softener dealing with the water conditions will not last very long without help to take care of the iron before it goes to the softener. They talked about how an iron filter could help prolong the life of any softener, and also discussed new options for softeners as well.
The wife was not too happy with the water going to the kitchen sink since the moved in over 30 years ago. The Project Coordinator found that the kitchen cold line was never going through any water treatment, and with 32 gpg of hardness, it was definitely the cause of the issues she was having at the kitchen sink (i.e. a new coffee maker every year).
The customer decided to have us install an EVFE-1052 iron filter to help with the iron and slight smell of sulfur from the water. He wanted to have the softener looked at before he bought new, since it was only a little over 2 years old.
Customer has a softener in the home, but finding a lot of iron issues even after the water softener. They had shocked the well in the past and thought that would help, but it didn't.
A Project Coordinator went out to their home to test the water and assess placement for any new equipment. She found that they had 5 ppm of iron from the well, as well as a present odor of sulfur. The water softener was older, but still taking care of the hardness in the water, but .8 ppm of iron was still leaking past it , causing staining throughout the house still. The discussed options to take of the iron, and the project coordinator also recommended a new softener, as the old one had been taking on a lot of iron, for who knows how long and could continue releasing iron into the home that it had been holding onto after the iron filter is put in place.
The customers discussed what they wanted to do over the weekend and got back to the project coordinator the next week. The decided that they wanted to start with just the iron filter and possibly may look into a new water softener when it proved to not be working. We installed an EVFE-1054 water softener a few day later.
Customer called the Clean Water Center as the water softener was not working for over a year, and it was finally time to look into a new one. They started noticing a smell to the water as well and would not drink it because of the unpleasant odor. They had to go the the store and fill up 5 gallon jugs so that they had good drinking/cooking water.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home to test the water and look over the existing equipment. They had an Iron Filter from Menards in place, but obviously was not taking care of the sulfur coming into the home, since they had such an awful smell. After the water tests, the project coordinator found 2ppm of iron as well as a sulfur smell coming from the water. She went over a new water softener and iron filter with them, and also suggested a Reverse Osmosis Drinking system. She explained that even though the sulfur smell will go away, they still may benefit from an RO system.
The customers decided to have us install and ES-1044 water softener, an EVFE-1252, and a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system. We were able to install a couple weeks later when they got back from vacation.
They are happy now with clean water coming into their home.
This customer called us after noticing an egg smell in their water. After looking into their records we found that we had installed an ES-1054 water softener and an EVFE-1354 iron filter in their home in 2016.
We were able to send out our technician John within the same week to look over the equipment and see what was going on. John was able to replace a few essential parts within each unit and get rid of the smell. The customer was pleased with the service and has not had any issues with the equipment since then!
Customer called the Clean Water Center as she was having issues with one of the pieces of equipment in her home. She had a couple of in-line filters, and one was cracked and leaking. She could not get it off to try to fix it as well. A Project Coordinator went out to the home to assess what was needed to fix the issue. The customer was able to bypass the cracked filter, which then in turn shut off the water to the downstairs bathroom.
When looking over the set up, they found that the line with the crack was only going to the downstairs bathroom and was not running through the water softener at all. The water was extremely hard at 34 gpg. The inline filter that she had been changing was only a filter for taste and smell, and not doing anything for the hardness in the water to that bathroom, so in turn she had a lot of hard water build up and crusting around that bathroom. They also found that the water to the kitchen cold was not softened either and the kitchen sink was full of hard water issues as well.
The water softener was older. All of the equipment was installed before they bought the home, and they did not realize that it was not set up appropriately to take care of the water conditions for their home. The Project Coordinator suggested putting in a new water softener and having the technician change the plumbing lines so they could get the benefits of soft water for their whole house.
The customer decided to have us install and EVRS-1044 for rent. We were able to install a few days later.
The customer called as his old softener was not working properly and was leaking a ton of water every time it regenerated. He had an older Kenmore unit that he purchased from Sears years ago. He did not want to spend a lot, and was just looking to replace with something like what he currently had.
He and his wife travel a lot in and around Wisconsin, and were going out of town that same weekend, so they were looking to get a new one installed before they left for their trip.
A Project Coordinator went out to the home to discuss options with him, and even though it was a bit more than he wanted to pay for a new one, he decided to have us install the ES-1044 water softener as it was close to the price he wanted to pay and we were able to change the schedule around to get it installed for him before he left for his trip.
Customer was building a new home and they had just drilled the new well. They weren't moved in yet, but they did spend a bit of time there, and were slowly getting their things moved in. They found that all of their new sinks, toilets and tubs were getting stained with iron from the water. The neighbors all had iron filters at their homes, so that is when he decided to call the Clean Water Center.
A Project Coordinator came out to the home to test the water and assess the basement for placement of any new equipment that was needed. When she took the water sample from the pressure tank, the water was discolored right off the bat. They tested the water and found 8 ppm of Ferric Iron. The customer stated that the well company had flushed the new well for over a day. After they made sure that there were no tannins in the water causing the discoloration, the Project Coordinator went over options for a softener as they also had 29 gpg of hardness coming through, and an Iron Filter to take care of the Iron as well as the trace amount of sulfur coming from the well.
After the customer discussed it with his wife, he called to say that they decided to go with the EVRS-1054 water softener and the EVFE-1252 Iron Filter. We were able to get that installed for them the next week before they moved in.
Customer had been living in the home for years, and a few years ago the softener stopped working so he had put it into bypass and forgot to do something about it. The city of Oconomowoc has 20 gpg of hardness coming through to the home, and the family quickly started to see the effects of the hard water. They also really started to notice the chlorine smell in their water as well.
Someone in the family knew the families concerns with the water, so when he met a Project Coordinator at a Chamber of Commerce event, the family member decided to set up an appointment with her for the family. Hearing their concerns, she knew that the Clean Water Center could help with all of the concerns. She went to the home to assess the current situation and see what could be done, where to place the new equipment and go over the options for the family of 7 people.
They decided to have the Clean Water Center install an EVR-1054 water softener and a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system. We were able to install it a few weeks later, at the families request. They are enjoying their soft water, and bottle quality drinking water now.
Customer called the Clean Water Center looking for a reverse osmosis drinking system, as they were buying a lot of bottled water. A Project Coordinator went out to the home to test the water and see what kind of equipment they had in place, and discuss the reverse osmosis.
After testing the water and finding that the current water softener was not working they had to talk about a bit more equipment for the home other than the reverse osmosis. Their water from the city of Oconomowoc had 22 gpg of hardness and .8 ppm of iron. The Project Coordinator recommended a new water softener as the filters in the reverse osmosis would clog up faster because of the hardness and iron in the water. Because of the chlorine in the city water and the amount of iron, it was likely that even after the softener, the family would most likely still find iron staining due to the chlorine oxidizing the iron, and a softener not being able to clean up oxidized iron. The customer was not a fan of the chlorine in the water as well, so he decided he wanted to have something help with that as well.
He decided to have us install an EVRC-1054 resin/carbon water softener so that the equipment would take care of the chlorine before coming into the home. He also had us install a big blue in-line filter to help clean up any oxidized iron that snuck past, and a ClearFlo reverse osmosis drinking system. They also noticed that the kitchen cold line was not currently running through any equipment, so he had us change that line to a line that was being filtered as well. He opted for the maintenance plan so that we could help him take care of his equipment on a yearly basis and give him a lifetime warranty on the equipment.
We were able to install for them the next week, and the family is enjoying their water in their home.
Customer just purchased a new home that did not have any water treatment equipment installed. The previous owner was renting equipment and it was taken out before the sale. After moving in, the new homeowners soon found the water to have a horrible sulfur smell and would not drink it, so they were buying a lot of bottled water. They needed new equipment put in fast.
They called a few places to get quotes including the Clean Water Center. They wanted to see the difference between renting or purchasing. A Project Coordinator went out to the home to test the water and assess the basement for installation. There was a large sulfur smell and 1ppm of iron, and 25 gpg of hardness in the water. She discussed the need for a water softener and an iron filter to help take care of the iron, but most importantly the sulfur smell. They discussed renting vs buying, and the importance of general maintenance on the equipment, and how we could help them take care of that on a yearly basis with the maintenance plan.
The new homeowners decided to purchase a new water softener and iron filter from us and opted for the maintenance plan, giving them piece of mind that we are there to help them take care of their new equipment and help protect their new "forever" home from any water quality issues that may occur. They will also benefit from the lifetime warranty that comes along with the maintenance plan.
The customers received a flyer in the mail, and knew that they were in need of a new water softener as it was over 23 years old, kept running and would not stop, so they had unplugged it. They called to see what the Clean Water Center had to offer.
A Project Coordinator went out to their home to test the water and take a look for a good location for new equipment. When they tested the water, it showed that they had very hard water but there was no sign of iron or sulfur. The customers only needed a new water softener to help with their water conditions. They discussed the different options and they decided to go with an EVR-1044 water softener on the maintenance plan, so that we could help them take care of any needed maintenance on the equipment to ensure their new investment stayed in good shape. The customer now can be confident that their water is good going into their beautiful home, and that this should be the last water softener that they will ever need to purchase.
Customer was having issues with his water being discolored when filling his hot tub, and the smell was awful. We sent out a Project Coordinator to go out and test the water and assess the basement for the installation of new equipment. He was having issues with his well, so they had just done some work on it and was having more issues with that at the same time. After testing the water, the Project Coordinator found 31 gpg of hardness, with 1.5 ppm of ferric iron, and a bad sulfur smell. It was also apparent when a faucet hadn't been opened for a bit, the water was coming out orange.
They discussed putting in an iron filter to help with the ferric iron and the sulfur smell. They also discussed the benefits of going on the maintenance plan, especially based on the water conditions at the home. The customer decided to have us install a 1044 water softener, iron filter and go on the maintenance plan for both, so that they know they are protected by having us to call with any issues that may arise, and to help them take care of the maintenance on the new equipment that they just purchased. We were able to install the next week.
The customer called as they were starting to really find signs of hard water after living there for a year and wanted to make sure any home improvements that they were making would be protected. The town of Brookfield has very high hardness at 30 gpg. She was concerned with the salt from a water softener as her husband had medical issues where he has to watch his sodium intake. They were hoping for a salt less system. A Project Coordinator went out to the home for the free consultation, and discussed the benefits of the salt using systems over the salt less systems. Talked about the option to add a Reverse Osmosis drinking system, to help ensure the salt intake would not be to much.
The customer decided to have us install a 1054 water softener with a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system to go to both the kitchen sink and the refrigerator. We had to get the softener ordered before we could install, which was going to take a little over a week. The customer really wanted to get it installed before the holidays, so a time crunch was on. The softener got done the day before they could get it installed before the holidays, so the Project Coordinator made a special trip up to the main shop in Appleton so that the customer could have family over and not worry about the water when they were there.
All worked out and the customer is happy with her purchase.
