Orange Staining on city water in Oconomowoc, WI
Challenge
Customer moved into a new to them home a few months ago, and there was no water treatment equipment in place. After being their for a while, the new homeowners started finding orange staining in the toilets, tub and sinks.
They decided to call the Clean Water Center as a few of her clients have worked with us before.
Solution
A Project Coordinator met with her at the house and took tests from the tap to see what equipment would be best for them. Oconomowoc city water has iron in it, and have been testing around .3 - .8 ppm of iron in the water. After the tests were taken, they found .8ppm of iron going to the customer's home, and was no wonder that there would be staining from it. The homeowner and the project coordinator talked over the options of a water softener being able to take care of the water conditions at the home. The homeowner decided to have us install and EVRS-1044 water softener on a rental contract as they may be selling the house in a few short years. We installed the new equipment, and now the homeowner can focus on the renovations that she was doing on the home.
