Challenge
We had a customer who was dealing with a bad odor on the hot water for along time. They finally have had a enough of it and was trying to remove it, they tried the water heater, shocking the well and installing some extra filters. With all the work being done the odor was still in the water, they decided too give us a call to see what we could do.
Solution
After coming too the home and testing the water and taking a look at things we found a iron bacteria in the water. This is a non-harmful bacteria but can cause a odor on the hot water. We recommended a hydrogen peroxide injection system to remove the bio-film. The peroxide is a great soliton because it will disinfect that water but then dissipate in water so there is no taste or odor from it. The customer is now happy they have odor free water!
