Reverse Osmosis Drinking System in Oconomowoc, WI
Challenge
The customer called in and explained that he lives in the City of Oconomowoc, and his family of 4 does not like the taste of the water due to the chlorine. They are always buying bottled water, and were sick of spending the time and money and creating so much plastic from the bottles. They were curious about putting in a Reverse Osmosis drinking system under their kitchen sink in their home as a solution.
A Project Coordinator went out to their home to assess the situation, and make sure that their current water softener was working properly in order for the Reverse Osmosis to stay an optimal solution for them. After finding the softener was working, they found that they kitchen cold line, was not hooked up to softener, and if they installed the RO under the sink, then they would be pulling from a hard water line. The customer's basement was furnished under the kitchen and placing the RO in the utility room in the basement would not work. After mentioning that if we could get to the kitchen area from the basement, we would be able to go to both the kitchen sink and the refrigerator, the customer really wanted to find a way to put it in the basement, and get the kitchen cold line attached to the softener.
Solution
The customer mentioned that he would be willing to cut into the ceiling in the basement to get us access to the fridge and kitchen sink, so that we could install to both from the basement. Since he knew how to do drywall he decided to go with that option. After a few weeks, when he had time to cut into the ceiling, we were able to install the new ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis in the basement, fish the lines to both Fridge, and kitchen sink, and give the customer and his family bottle quality water right to their kitchen so they stop buying bottled water.
