Mr. and Mrs. P. are current customers, and when the tech went to service their current softener, he had found their current softener to be clogged up with Iron and they had mentioned that their laundry was turning orange due to the iron content in the water. When the project Coordinator came to test the water, it was found that there was 5ppm of Iron in the water. They purchased and EVFE-1054 Iron filter, which was put in front of the current softener. By doing this, it will ensure that the softener will not get clogged with Iron, and there laundry should remain nice and white from now on.

Job Stories From Oconomowoc, WI
Old Softener needing replacement in Oconomowoc

Customer called the Clean Water Center as the water softener was not working for over a year, and it was finally time to look into a new one. They started noticing a smell to the water as well and would not drink it because of the unpleasant odor. They had to go the the store and fill up 5 gallon jugs so that they had good drinking/cooking water.

A Project Coordinator went out to the home to test the water and look over the existing equipment. They had an Iron Filter from Menards in place, but obviously was not taking care of the sulfur coming into the home, since they had such an awful smell. After the water tests, the project coordinator found 2ppm of iron as well as a sulfur smell coming from the water. She went over a new water softener and iron filter with them, and also suggested a Reverse Osmosis Drinking system. She explained that even though the sulfur smell will go away, they still may benefit from an RO system.

The customers decided to have us install and ES-1044 water softener, an EVFE-1252, and a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system. We were able to install a couple weeks later when they got back from vacation.

They are happy now with clean water coming into their home.

Iron Issues in Oconomowoc, WI

Customer has a softener in the home, but finding a lot of iron issues even after the water softener. They had shocked the well in the past and thought that would help, but it didn't.

A Project Coordinator went out to their home to test the water and assess placement for any new equipment. She found that they had 5 ppm of iron from the well, as well as a present odor of sulfur. The water softener was older, but still taking care of the hardness in the water, but .8 ppm of iron was still leaking past it , causing staining throughout the house still. The discussed options to take of the iron, and the project coordinator also recommended a new softener, as the old one had been taking on a lot of iron, for who knows how long and could continue releasing iron into the home that it had been holding onto after the iron filter is put in place.

The customers discussed what they wanted to do over the weekend and got back to the project coordinator the next week. The decided that they wanted to start with just the iron filter and possibly may look into a new water softener when it proved to not be working. We installed an EVFE-1054 water softener a few day later.

New Owner Needing New Equipment in Oconomowoc, WI

Customer just purchased a home on the lake in Oconomowoc. He noticed that the water softener wasn't working and called to have service done on it. A tech went out to his home to look over the system, and found that it was leaking from the piston. Advised that due to the age of the system, it would cost almost as much as a brand new softener to rebuild what was broken.

A Project Coordinator went out to the home, to discuss new purchase options for him. She tested the water to and assessed the basement for the placement of the new equipment. After testing the water, they also found 3ppm and sulfur present. There was no extra equipment in place to take care of that. They discussed putting in an Iron Filter to take care of that as well as a Reverse Osmosis drinking system, for when they are all at the lake house, and then they wouldn't have to haul in cases of water for drinking. The customer let her know that he was already working with his plumber to get those pieces installed but would like to go with our Water Softener. He decided to have us install an ES-1044 water softener for him a few days later.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking System in Oconomowoc, WI

Customer found the Clean Water Center at the Farmers Market one Saturday morning. They used to have a Reverse Osmosis drinking system at their old house, and wanted to get one installed in their new home, as they were not happy with the taste of the Oconomowoc city water. They went home that morning and discussed it, and called a few days later to have the Project Coordinator that they met at the market to come out and discuss options with them.

Connie went out to their home, tested to make sure that their water softener was working, and assessed a placement for the reverse osmosis to go. The customer was concerned about taking all of the minerals out of the water, but were happy to hear that we could add in a calcite filter to be able to put some back in the drinking water.

We were able to install a few days later for them. The customer is happy to have clean, safe drinking water again.

Iron Staining & Sulfur in Oconomowoc, WI

Customer called the Clean Water Center as he has high iron and sulfur in his water. He previously had equipment but had to be taken out, and is now wanting new equipment installed. He actually has 2 homes on the property. One of the homes had equipment still in it, but the tenant did not take care of it and it was not working. The home's bathrooms and kitchen were covered in iron staining.

A Project Coordinator went out to the property and tested the water at the home. They found that the hardness was around 27 gpg, the iron was coming in at 5 ppm and their was a good sulfur smell from the pressure tank. The Project Coordinator recommended a water softener as well as an iron filter to help with the high iron and sulfur in the water. The customer decided to rent the equipment from the Clean Water Center.

The homeowner needed the equipment installed as soon as we could as he was renting the home out and the new tenants were supposed to move in within the week. We were able to get him on the schedule and installed the next day.

Newly built home needing a Water Softener, in Oconomowoc, WI

Customer just moved into a newly built home in Oconomowoc, and is quickly finding hard water build up in the home. He wanted to make sure that all of his new water using appliances, faucets and fixtures stay clean without hard water build up. A Project Coordinator went out to the customer's home to test the water, and assess where the installation would go. They discussed the benefits of the water softener, and the differences in the technology on each piece of equipment.

After much discussion the customer decided to have us install an EVRS-1044 water softener, and we were able to install it a few days later for him. He can now be confident that his new appliances, faucets and fixtures will be protected from the city water.

Water Treatment Equipment on an Island, Oconomowoc, WI

Customer called the Clean Water Center as he had purchase vacation home on an island in the middle of a lake near Oconomowoc about 10 years ago did not have any water treatment equipment and they were going to be spending a lot more time there soon, so they wanted to make sure the water was soft for the laundry and showers, and the wife was sick of cleaning the iron stains from the toilets when they came to visit.

A project coordinator met him at the boat doc, and after a quick trip across the lake, they were able to assess the water going into the home. The customer mentioned that the neighbors had a water softener and an iron filter for their home. They found that the water had 25 gpg of hardness, 3.5 ppm of iron, and a trace smell of sulfur. There was also only a stand up crawl space area for the equipment. So after the testing, the project coordinator discussed the recommended treatment for the water conditions, and the customer decided to have us install an EVR-1044 water softener and an EVFE-1054 Iron Filter. He opted to go on the maintenance plan, so that we could come out once a year and help him take care of his new equipment. He was also happy that we would deliver the needed salt for the year at that time, only catch is that he had to deliver us from the boat launch to the home to bring it up to the island house for him.

Nitrates in the water in Oconomowoc, WI

We just installed a water softener at the customer's duplex, and when the Project Coordinator was out, they had talked about the importance of having the well water tested once a year. The customer decided to have us take a Basic Annual health and safety test (Arsenic, Nitrates, E-Coli, and Coliform) of the well water. When the tests came back, it revealed Nitrates in the water above the EPA standard. The customer was thinking that they may sell the home soon, and new that they had to do something about the Nitrates.

They called the Project Coordinator back and decided to have us put in an Ultro Water Reverse Osmosis as it is Certified by the state of Wisconsin for Nitrates. We installed one in both sides of the duplex, so that both sides of the home could be confident in the water they were drinking and cooking with.

Newly remodeled home in need of water treatment in Oconomowoc, WI

The customers just purchase a home and completely renovated it, right down to brand new plumbing throughout the whole home. They found the Clean Water Center on Google and called us based on our reviews. A Project Coordinator went out to the home to test the water and assess the basement for installation. The home was plumbed perfectly, all set up for the installation of a water softener, and the outside lines were already bypassed for the customer. The only thing that had to get done before install was an electrical outlet for the water softener.

The customer was on city water. The Project Coordinator went over water softener options with the customer. The customer opted to have us install the EVRS-1044 water softener, and as soon as they had the electrical outlet in and the water was turned on to the whole house, we were able to install. They were able to move in shortly after, and know that their home is protected from the hardness of the city water.

New Equipment in Oconomowoc, WI

The customer just moved back to the area from the south and bought a home in Oconomowoc without any water treatment equipment. He wanted to make sure he had soft water as soon as possible as well as clean drinking water for him and his family. He contacted the Clean Water Center to come assess the new home.

The basement was mostly finished except for 2 separate utility areas. The city meter was far from the other utility room and did not have a drain near it. Because the basement was furnished there was no way to tell where the plumbing went in between the city water meter and the area available for install. A Project Coordinator and a technician went back to the home to look around as to what could be done to get the equipment in the home and be able to soften the entire home. After a bit of looking around, they were able to come up with a plan. The customer decided to rent an EVRC-1054 resin/carbon water softener to help with the hardness as well as the chlorine that the city puts in the water. They also decided to rent a Clearflo Reverse Osmosis drinking system.

The customer moved in shortly after that and can now rest easy, knowing their water is clean and soft.

New Home needing Water Treatment Equipment in Oconomowoc, WI

Customer had moved in to a newly built home with city water in Oconomowoc. He started noticing hard water spots and build up around the kitchen and bath. He needed to help protect his new investment and make sure that the hard water would not continue building up across the home. He called the Clean Water Center to see if we could help.

A Project Coordinator went out to his home to assess the placement of equipment and test his water. After speaking with the customer he let her know that he called the Clean Water Center because he noticed on the website that we do make a cabinet model as he did not want a big piece of equipment taking up space in his basement. He decided to special order (at no extra charge) the cabinet model for us to install. Once the equipment was built for him, we installed shortly after, and the customer can now be confident that the water will not ruin any part of his new home.

Clean Drinking Water in Oconomowoc, WI

This customer called the Clean Water Center as they had just moved in and did not like the taste of the water. The family was growing and they were worried about the quality water that they were giving their children.

They were all set up with a water softener and iron filter already, the next thing to do was to get a Reverse Osmosis. A Project Coordinator was sent to the home for a consultation and to make sure the current equipment was working properly. After finding that all the equipment was working as it should, and finding placement for the new equipment, the customers decided to go with a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system. The water in their current fridge was not working and they were planning on getting a new fridge shortly, so the team at the Clean Water Center set up the ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis so it could be installed straight to the new fridge when it got it installed.

The customers can rest easy now, knowing they are consuming clean, safe water.

Clean Drinking Water in Oconomowoc, WI

This customer was moving to WI from the East Coast, and decided to buy a home and renovate it. The old owners of the home had us install a water softener, and Iron filter for them, so the new homeowner decided to give us a call to install a Reverse Osmosis drinking system for them. They had one at their old home, and really enjoyed having bottle quality water right to their fridge, and kitchen sink.

A Project Coordinator went out to the home to discuss options with them, and they decided to have us install a ClearFlo Reverse Osmosis drinking system for them. They also decided to include a service plan for all of their equipment, so that we can go out every year to perform recommended service and change out their drinking filters at the same time. Now the only thing they have to worry about is putting salt in the Water softener, and we will do the rest for them.

New Lake Home With Sulfur and Iron Problems In Oconomowoc, WI

The customer had called in as he had just built a house on the lake and needed equipment to take care of his water problems. They were finding a lot of orange staining around the home and the smell of sulfur wafted from the water. They were concerned because they new they needed extra equipment to take care of it, but the home was on a holding tank septic system, and if extra equipment was installed, they would need to get it pumped more often.

We were able to send out a Project Coordinator and a service tech to assess the situation. The water test showed they did have sulfur, and 4 ppm of iron, so an Iron Filter was definitely needed to help the water issues the customer was having.

After a bit of figuring things out, they were able to come up with a solution that would work for the homeowner and limit the amount of water going through the equipment at regen so that there wouldn't be as much going to the septic. They could also alternate the Iron Filter regen to go directly outside during the warmer months, totally eliminating the water from the Iron Filter backwash at that time of the year, and only having the water softener draining to the septic.

We installed the equipment, and the customer can rest easy with clean water for his new home.

Iron Staining on City Water in Oconomowoc, WI

This customer called the Clean Water Center as they had just purchased the home and were only living there for a short time. They were finding iron staining in the home.  A Project Coordinator went to their home to discuss options, test the water, and assess the basement for placement of the equipment.

When the Project Coordinator went out to the home, they found that the basement did not have any drain to drain the softener too. They had to think outside of the box and come up with a solution for the homeowner. After looking around the basement, they found that they would be able to pull the drain upstairs to the Laundry Room, where the clothes washer drained to.

We installed a rental EVRS-1044 water softener for them, and they have noticed a great difference in their water now. No more staining and softer, more manageable hair.

Looking for Potential New Iron Filter in Oconomowoc, WI

The homeowner called the Clean Water Center as he has lived in his house for a few years and is not happy with his current Iron filter. He did not like how often it backwashed, and was pretty loud. A Project Coordinator went to the house to assess the water and the current equipment. They found that the current equipment is not very old and is working as it should. The Project Coordinator tested the water from the pressure tank, and reassured the customer that the equipment that is installed in his house is the right equipment for his water conditions, and that the previous homeowner made the right choice on what equipment was needed for quality water.  After talking about the options that the Clean Water Center has, the Project Coordinator and the customer decided that the current equipment was sufficient for his home and he did not need new equipment.

The Project Coordinator went over tips and solutions to make his iron filter a little quieter and informed the customer that we have service plans that can help him with maintenance on his equipment even though we did not install it. Customer was happy to hear that his home has quality water and was thankful for the solutions and education on his water conditions and equipment.
