Customer had just moved to Wisconsin and bought a home in Beaver Dam. They had the well tested for any health and safety issues, and was found that they had a small amount of Arsenic in the water, around 7ppm. Even though it is under the EPA standard, he was still not OK with having ANY Arsenic in the water that he and his family would be drinking. He called the Clean Water Center as we were the ones that did the test for his well for the sale.
A Project Coordinator went out to his home to take a look at the current equipment that was in the home and to make sure his softener was working in order to put in a Reverse Osmosis drinking system. After testing the water from the pressure tank, they found that the water was hard at 20 gpg, but he also had 2.5 ppm of iron and a sulfur smell as well. The only equipment that he had in place was a water softener that had a date of 2003 on it.
The Project Coordinator discussed that the softener seemed to be working but because of the sulfur and the 2.5 ppm of iron that it had been dealing with for 20 years, she would recommend an Iron Filter and a new softener as he may find some staining even after the iron filter is installed coming from the old softener. She also recommended the UltroWater Reverse Osmosis as it is certified in WI for Arsenic, and the customer could be confident that it was taking care of his original concern.
The customer decided to have us install an EVFE-1054 Iron Filter, an EVR-1044 Water Softener, as well as the UltroWater RO, a few days later. He decided to go on the maintenance plan so that he could enjoy the benefit of a lifetime warranty on all of his equipment as well as the confidence that he has a company that he can call to help take care of his new equipment.
