Before:
After building their brand-new home, the homeowners quickly ran into a frustrating issue...extremely hard well water with high iron content. In a short time, their beautiful white home became stained with unsightly orange discoloration. Fixtures, surfaces, and plumbing were all being affected, turning their dream home into a constant maintenance challenge.
After:
We installed our most efficient water softener along with a high-performance iron filtration system, custom-designed to treat both hardness and iron at the source. The results were immediate! no more staining, no more buildup, and crystal-clear water throughout the home.
Hard water and high iron are no match for our systems! we completely eliminated the problem and restored the home’s clean, bright appearance.
Mr. and Mrs. L. had built their retirement home in Wautoma, WI and after two years of not treating their water, they were sick of the discoloration and build up. Their water was discolored and they believed they had tannins. However, after a Project Coordinator went to the home to perform testing, it was found that they had ferric iron, which also causes discoloration in the water. This kind of iron is too much for a standard water softener to handle, so we found that the best solution was to treat the water with our EVFE iron filter and follow it up with our more advanced EVR water softener. Now their retirement home is protected and they no longer have discolored water running through their new appliances and fixtures.
Mr. and Mrs. J. moved out of the city and into the country in Neshkoro. They found the perfect trailer to spend their future days, but being on a well brought about issues they hadn't had to deal with in the past. The trailer they moved into had no water treatment equipment whatsoever, so all appliances and fixtures were being harmed by hardness and iron. Because of their concerns, we sent a Project Coordinator out to assess the situation and see what we could do to help. Due to the limited space that was allowed to work with in the trailer, we had to get creative. Traditionally we prefer installing a water softener that has the media tank separate from the brine tank, but due to the lack of space for such a set up, we custom built a "cabinet" unit. this was able to fit in the closet of the homeowner by the water heater and pressure tank to remove the staining level of iron and the hardness in the water.
Some homeowners know they have problematic water but don’t know what to do about it. Particularly handy homeowners go to home improvement stores to see if they can solve the problem themselves. While in a Lowes store these customers were interacting with a Lowes employee and the employee mentioned they partner with a company to consult on professional water treatment. They also mentioned that when dealing with water it is a good idea to get a professional opinion before purchasing equipment that may or may not work for their specific water conditions. Almost all the Wisconsin Lowes locations partner with Clean Water Center as their water treatment experts. After hearing what our project coordinator had to say the homeowners were equip with the knowledge, they needed to make an informed decision on what to do with their water. They decided that professional treatment was what they wanted and an AOE-1354 was installed in the basement of their home along with a spin-down sediment filter to keep large sand like pieces from getting into the home.
Randy, our service manager, was at the home here in Markesan because the homeowner was having issues with their current system leaking. The unit was an older unit and she decided it was probably time to replace the treatment equipment versus replacing it. The water had a very high hardness level. Randy was able to set her up with an EVR-1054. Randy was able to get there within the week to get her set up with the new equipment.
